This resort is a 27-unit condominium building called Bear Crossing in Mt. Crested Butte, located along the mountainside and within walking distance of one of the area’s main chair lifts. While recognizing the existing sloped site topography, neighboring buildings, and an adjacent wetland, the building was separated into two four-story towers. The V-shaped building layout opens the buildings to allow abundant sun access and capture magnificent vistas down the valley for all the residential units in both building towers. The two towers follow the site’s natural slope, incorporating a one-story underground parking garage located at different elevations that step with the site.
